Thighvertising

Thighvertising: The new way to advertise

After reading an article about 'thighvertising', I was very surprised about how advanced advertising will become in the future. If the Japanese are starting this type of advertising now, this means that the trend will more than likely spread worldwide. In Japan, companies are renting women's legs to advertise. Companies want to advertise to consumers by being naturally drawn to the brand name.

What does this advertising entail?

Any female who wants to have their leg rented must be over 18 years old and also have more than 20 friends on social media services. The woman must wear a mini skirt with no tights, therefore have her thigh showing off the brand logo and / or name. The woman must keep the brand on her thigh for 8 hours of the day. After this 8 hours, the woman will be paid. They are encouraged to wear knee height boots to make the legs look more attractive. Also the woman must take a photo of herself wearing the brand on her thigh and share it on her social media.

Will this be successful?

I think that this type of advertising will suit male targeted products. Men will be attracted to women's thighs more than females. Therefore I think it very much depends on what brand will be advertised on the thighs.

I think that this type of advertising does make a lot of sense for the following reasons:

Clothing brands advertise their products through models and physical appearance. Therefore they advertise their clothes on a human body. If the model wears the clothes very well, people will be influenced to buy the product.

Also by sharing photos on social media, this will help the brand expose their name. We all know how successful social media can be, the business value of advertising through Facebook and Twitter is practically free. From brands using social media, this will get everyone talking on line as well as offline about thighvertising.

Even if thighvertising isn't accepted, this will cause a stir in social media.
As they say any media is good media as your brand will be all over social media sites.

Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is located just 10 minutes outside Dungarvan. It is around a half an hour from Clonea Strand. In the last few years they have improved the path ways so people can walk or cycle from Clonea or the Gold Coast and directly into Dungarvan.

The Gold Coast consists of a golf course and hotel resort, a fishing pier, camping and caravan park and also houses to rent. Just like Clonea Stand, the Gold Coast is also a popular destinations as both places compliment each other.

I would recommend to anyone, even if you are passing through Dungarvan to take a small detour along the coast to see the views.

Whitehorses Restaurant

While in Ardmore, we went for dinner in the Whitehorses Restaurant. Ardmore was extremely quite all weekend, most likely due to the foggy weather. However, The Whitehorses Restaurant clearly does not have to rely on the weather to bring the crowds into the restaurant. This was not surprising due to the 2013 awards on the wall outside.

In the summer it opens for lunch and dinner but once winter comes it focuses just on evenings.

It is on the pricey side however the quality of the food is second to none. I would definitely go there for an occasion again, like this weekend celebrating my sister's birthday.

The restaurant had two sittings, and we were booked in for the late sitting, around 8.30p.m. We were guided to a sit down area while we waited for our table and there was also outside seating. The restaurant was very rustic and unique.

There was a lot to choose from, I decided I would get as a starter, Chicken Liver Pate, followed by Lobster Thermidor and then for desert a chocolate mud pie. Each course was without fault and tasted amazing!

Ardmore

For the weekend, we visited Ardmore. Ardmore is a seaside village located on the Waterford coast. It is between Dungarvan and Youghal  on the main Cork - Waterford Road. Ardmore is a very popular tourist attraction in the summer months. Ardmore is ideal for a perfect Sunday roadtrip!

The main attractions would be the blue flag rated beach and also the cliff walk which over looks the sea and surrounding areas. The picture above shows the view from where you can start the cliff walk.
I would definitely recommend a trip to Ardmore just for the view alone.
